I think I m gay

I don’t know what to do. I know that I am a homosexual but my parents are deeply involved in Christianity and condemn such sexual orientations. If I tell them, I think my mom will come around but even since I was little, my dad said he’d disown me, and I love my dad even if he’s close-minded. Do I tell one of them? Both of them? Neither? Or do I not invite them to a wedding for me and my secret fiancé happening soon that they don’t even know about yet? I don’t know what to do. I’m stuck. Please respond with thoughts. xx

I’m sorry I really don’t know how to help you. Since you are getting married soon I suggest you tell both of them (easier said than done) because at the end of the day it’s your life. You’re the one who has to live it. There will come a time, sadly, when our parents pass away and we’ll be left with the lives we have created for ourselves. Live it how you want to :)

If you are getting married, I assume you are old enough to? Have you moved out? Regardless of your situation, you need to evaluate, is your secret fiance worth it? how much value does your dad have in your life? if you do come out, you may have to educate your parents, and i know how hard and annoying it will be to do so, but i hope everything works out for you <3

Sin is a concept of the weak. It controls them through fear of damnation. The reality is that we have nothing to fear if we are good to others. Of all the religions of the world, everyone believes theirs is the correct one. Everyone wants to have faith they have it figured out, but they are like frightened creatures scratching at the darkness. You can love who you want. Marriage is a contract with the state allowing them to mediate and interfere in disagreements. You can be married before any of your various Gods, but it should be a private matter. No one, straight or gay, should sign a contract with the state. Your parents brought your life into this world, but they cannot force you how to live. The Golden Rule Is The Eternal Balance.
